HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING AUGUST 2, 2011 <br /> 9:p5 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to go into a Board af Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancast�r, Daniel <br /> Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Bud Jeffries was absent. Also present <br /> was County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and Board Assistance Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> NOTICE OF OP�N MEETING LAW — Vice Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES — Quandt made a motian and Schuppan seconded to approve the minutes of the July <br /> 19, 2011 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted y�s and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Mike Dobesh, 2491 South North Road, Wood River, Nebraska <br /> requested to talk to the board regarding the property valuation protests that he filed. He <br /> provided a yield map on a piece of property and stated that it has wet lands and the average <br /> yield is about 170 bushels an acre. When he met with the ref�rees they stated that they would <br /> come out and look at the property and he stated that he didn't think that they came out. He also <br /> noted issues on his house. He expressed concern that ane person protested because of the <br /> location and neighborhood issues and their value was changed and his protest was not . He <br /> also expressed concerns on issues with Central Platte NRD regarding irrigation. <br /> Arnold and Schuppan also expressed concern on the rules regarding dry corners. <br /> Lancaster stated that once the protests are finished notices are sent regarding the action that <br /> was taken. <br /> Mr. Dobesh stated that peopl� do not file protests because they feel it doesn't do any good. <br /> Vice Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no one else responded. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISH�D BUSINESS —Vice Chairman Lancaster called far new or unfinished <br /> business and no one responded. <br /> 9:20 a.m. returned to the regular meeting. <br /> . n r. c'o <br /> �� '�� . � •�� <br /> �' ,,a <br /> w: t.e <br /> �: ,� <br /> Marla J.
