HALI. COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION M�ETING JULY 19, 2011 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Quandt made a mation and Ziola seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> m�eting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Bud Jeffries, Daniel Purdy, <br /> Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Pamela Lancaster was absent. Also present <br /> was County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN M�ETING LAW —Chairman Jeffries read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> COUNTY ASSESSOR -APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR MOSAIC �N NEW <br /> PROPERTY (PLEASANT HOME 2N° SUB LTS 1 & 2) —County Assessor Jan Pelland <br /> presented the exemption application far Mosaic for a new property located at Pleasant Home <br /> 2�a Sub Lats 1 8� 2, 1517 Hope Street, Grand Island Nebraska. This property is to be used to <br /> provide services and support for people with developmental disabilities. <br /> Ms. Pelland stated that she approved the exemptian application as per Nebraska State Statute <br /> 77-202 and is requesting the board's approval. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the exemption application for Mosaic. <br /> Arnold, Jeffries, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Lancaster was absent. Motion carried. <br /> TAX ROLL CORRECTIONS — Ms. Pelland presented tax roll corrections#4364 to #�4394. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Quandt seconded to authorize the chair to initial tax correction <br /> notices #4364 to #4394. Arnold, Jeffries, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Lancaster was absent. Motion carried. <br /> MINUTES —Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to place on file the minut�s of the July <br /> 5, 2011 meeting. Arnold, Jeffries, Quandt, Purdy, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Lancaster was absent. Motion carried. <br /> RECEIVE AND APPROVE HOMESTEAD APPLICATIONS FILED DURING 2� DAY <br /> EXTENSION PERI�D— Ms. Pelland stated that she received two exemption applications during <br /> the 20 day extension period. She has to deny the applications but the County Board has the <br /> authority to accept them. <br /> William and Delores Morrow, 10833 South 60t" Road, Doniphan Ne filed July 5, 2011 and <br /> submitted an application and letter stating that this is the first time he has applied for the <br /> ex�mption. He is retired from the military because of his service related disabilities he is unable <br /> to drive and it is difficult to find someone to drive for him. <br /> Jayne Decker, 2d18 Pianeer Blvd, Grand Island, Nebraska filled July $, 2011 submitted a letter <br /> stating that she was not aware of the deadline and failed to file her application. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Purdy seconded to apprave the homestead exemptions for Jayne <br /> Decker and William Morraw. Arnold, Jeffries, Quandt, Purdy, Schuppan and Ziola all voted <br />
