HALL COUNTY 80ARD OF EQUALIZATION ME�TING FEBRUARY 15, 2011 <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded ta go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Bud Jeffries, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Also present <br /> was County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> NOTICE O� OPEN ME�TING LAW —Chairman Jeffries read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES —Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to place on file the minutes <br /> of the February 1, 2011 meeting. Arnold, Jeffries, Purdy, Lancaster, Quandt, Schuppan <br /> and Ziola all vated yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> COUNTY ASSESSOR - DISCUSS AND APPROVE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR <br /> PICTROMETRY PROJECT— Pelland stated that this is the interlocal agreement far the <br /> pictometry project. Deputy Caunty Attorney Jack Zitterkopf worked on the agreement <br /> and stated that he did still need some additional information regarding the projections for <br /> the 3 year term. Pelland provided the following information: <br /> DEPARTM�NT FIRST YEAR SECOND YEAR THIRD YEAR <br /> DOLLARS DOLL.ARS DOLLARS <br /> County Assessor $12,30D.00 $5,OOQ.00 $5,Q00.00 <br /> Road Dept $5,000.00 $5,OOO.QO $5,000.00 <br /> GIS Dept $5,�00.00 <br /> City Public Works $6,667.00 $ 6,667.00 $ 6,667.00 <br /> City Utilities $11,667.00 $10,000.00 <br /> City Fire Dept $1,000.00 $ 1,000.00 $ 1,000.00 <br /> E911 $2,000.00 $ 4,000.00 $ 4,000.00 <br /> Pelland stated that this is to go to the City Council next week and the County was to <br /> approve it today but that has finalization date has been changed to Friday. <br /> Quandt questioned if Jack was sure this was carrect and Mr. Zitterkopf stated that he <br /> wrote the agreement. Pelland stated that if this is nat approved Hall County will not be <br /> on the flight schedule. There is also an escape clause in the agreement. Pelland also <br /> mentioned that there will be a presentation today at 1:00 p.m. explaining the program. <br /> Lancaster expressed concern on the casts and stated that it is always nice to have the <br /> newest and best but you also have to consider what you can afford. She expressed <br /> concern on the fact that Hall County will be cut $175,Q00.00 from the state and is there <br /> any proof that it will pay far itself. <br /> Ms. Pelland stated that her staff is down 1 and '/z employees and she has not filled the <br /> positions she is required by the stated to inspect all properties every 6 years and she is <br /> hoping to use the modern technology to address these issues. Discussion was held. <br /> Pelland stated that the better she does her job th� more it enables the caunty to expand <br /> the tax base. The last time a county wide inspection was done was in 1995 and in- <br /> house updates were done in 2005. <br /> 1 <br />
