The employee would like to become a certified welder and ask if she could be reimbursed for her educatianal costs. He stated that they appreciate the employee coming forward but did not approve it. They also have some surplus items that will be going to auction. There was also discussion on repairs to the parking lot. Quandt stated that he attended the Region III meeting in Kearney and there was a presentation on the Friendship Hause and he would like to have them come to the caunty board meeting. Schuppan stated that Steve Riehle with public works will be starting on the asphalt projects that were discussed. He also attended a meeting in Doniphan; there are some serious problems with the road in a subdivision that are going to require repairs. McFarland stated that he attended the Stuhr Museum meeting and they have had 2 very successful fund raisers and will be doing the "Prairie Sludge Trudge" again next yea r. Mr. Ziola thanked the board far the pizza and stated that he is recovering. Lancaster reported she attended the opening ceremonies at the State Fair. She also rode with a sheriff's deputy and stated he was very professional and well trained. She stated that there was discussion at Senior Citizens regarding the Older American Dollars Act and how some of this may be transferred to the City. There is a lot of wark ta be done on this issue.
