I <br /> Ziola made a motion and Quandt seconded to r�fer the bids to the public warks department and <br /> came back in 2 weeks with a recommendatian. Lancaster, Mc�arland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Amold was absent. Motion carried. <br /> 9:45 returned to the Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:53 a.m. recessed the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to regular session. <br /> 9. REVIEW O�' COUNTY INDUSTRIAL TRACTS - Chad Nabity was present. The City <br /> requested that the County Board review the county industrial tracts. Mr. Nabity assisted the <br /> conditional use committee with the process. The Northwest County Industrial tract is Homady <br /> Manufacturing and the second ane is the Adams Street County Industrial Tract and the various <br /> praperty owners in it. The County Board may or if requested by the municipal governing body <br /> do the inspection in March of even numbered years and it appears that this has not been done <br /> since 1982. <br /> Review forms were completed on the 8 property owners to determine if the properties qualify <br /> and th� cammittee is recommending that the county take steps to remove the property owned <br /> by Mike and June O'Neill from the County Industrial Tract. The ather properties meet the <br /> definition of industrial use. <br /> There is a process for the removal of property from an industrial tract. The awners must be <br /> natified and a public hearing must be held. Then a resolution has to be approved to remove the <br /> praperty. <br /> Sehuppan made a motion and McFarland seconded to notify Mike and June O'Neill that they <br /> are out of compliance and set up the process and take steps ta remave the property from the <br /> caunty industrial tract. Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes <br /> and none voted na. Arnold was absent. Motion carried. <br /> They will come back at the ne�ct meeting with a recommendatian and a time line. <br /> 6. 1Q:Q0 AM -- PUBLIC HEARING — CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR BURLINGTON <br /> NORTHERN SANTA FE CORP FOR COMMUNICATION TOWER - Quandt made a motion and <br /> Schuppan seconded ta open the public hearing for the conditional use permit. �Lancaster, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none vated no. Arnold was <br /> absent. Motion carried. <br /> Loran Humphrey stated that this a renewal of a conditional use permit that the company had <br /> applied for 6 years aga. They are a litkle behind on the renewal pracess. This is a tower located <br /> northwest of Cairo, Nebraska and it is used for communicatians for the Burlington Northem <br /> Santa Fe Railroad. He recommends approving the permit. <br /> Chairman Lancaster called far public participation and no one respanded. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Quandt secanded to close the public hearing. Lancaster, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziala all voted yes and none voted no. Arnold was <br /> absent. Motian carried. <br /> DISCUSS AND TAK� ACTION ON RESOLUTION GRANTING CONDITIONAL USE i <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Quandt second�d to approve Resolution #12-017 for the conditional use I <br /> permit for Burlingtan Northern. Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziala all voted yes ', <br /> and none v�ted no. Arnold was absent. Motian carried. <br /> 3 <br />
