Motion carried. <br /> 9. A. DISCUSS AND APPROVE AMENDMENT TO HALL COUNTY EMPLOYEE HEALTH <br /> PLAN FOR COVERAGE OF EXPENSE OF PARTICIPATION IN WELLNESS PROGRAM <br /> Purdy stated that this amendment will add the coverage for the wellness plan to the county <br /> health plan effective March 1 The wellness program will provide for the blood draw for the <br /> employees that are covered under the health plan. The Central District Health Department will <br /> do the blood draws and the corrections department will have the blood draws taken by the <br /> nurses at the corrections department. <br /> Mr. McFarland questioned what the wellness plan would consist of and Mr. Purdy stated that the <br /> program will be determined by the results of the blood draws and the surveys that the <br /> employees take. When an employee completes the survey then they will be eligible for the <br /> $50.00 refund. Once this has been completed the committee will attend an all day meeting and <br /> come back with a recommendation for the program. Stacey pointed out that the refunds are <br /> county dollars. <br /> Lancaster stated that this is an excellent opportunity for the employees and we need to <br /> encourage the employees to take part in this program. The wellness program is through <br /> NIRMA. <br /> Discussion was held on the premium relief. Mr. Zitterkopf questioned how this would affect <br /> payroll and Conley stated that that would be an issue but after discussion with Mr. Johnson it <br /> was suggested that it could be an incentive payment from Mid American. <br /> B. DISCUSS AND APPROVE HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUM RELIEF AS INCENTIVE TO <br /> PARTICIPATE IN AND COMPLETE THE WELLNESS PROGRAM - McFarland made a motion <br /> and Quandt seconded to approve the wellness program participation incentive. Amold, <br /> Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 6 <br />
