BOARD OF CORRECTIONS MEETING NOVEMBER 8, 2011 <br /> 11:30 a.m. Arnold made a motion Purdy seconded to go into a Board of Corrections <br /> meeting <br /> Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, Bob McFarland, Daniel <br /> Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steven Schuppan and David Ziola. . <br /> Also present was Fred Ruiz Corrections Director, County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and <br /> Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Pamela <br /> Lancaster. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Vice Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the <br /> open meeting law. <br /> MINUTES — Ziola made a motion and Quandt seconded to place on file the minutes of <br /> the October 25, 2011 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> CORRECTIONS DIRECTOR'S REPORT — Fred Ruiz stated that they benefit from the <br /> United Way programs and appreciates the services they provided. <br /> He stated that the staffing levels are down he has 2 gone 2 on FMLA and 1 recently <br /> resigned. He also noted that the inmate levels are down and are now at 189 but it was <br /> up to 200 again and this is even low. <br /> He stated they did receive a check from St Francis for $34,000.00 on some medical <br /> issues. Holly caught that they did not charge the Medicaid rate so there was a refund. <br /> He stated that the finger printing equipment is installed and working and there has been <br /> an increase in the number of prints that they do. He also stated that there have been <br /> problems for the last 2 months on the network and some software problems and this is <br /> an issue for them because they are able to get by with Tess staff by using technology. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION PERSONNEL — Quandt made motion and Ziola seconded to go <br /> into executive session. This executive session is to protect needless injury to an <br /> individual. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted <br /> yes and none voted no.
