I spoke with Marla and discussed with her that we would be Interested in doing this & we would act as our own manager but that it was my understanding that her office would be the contact/contract. This was due to the fact ' that her office is statutorily responsible for payment of claims. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn but Marla did tell . • • me that at long as she did not have to manage different department accounts she would not be opposed to taking on this program. • • • • On Tuesday, August 23C', HCDC' met with US Bank repreSentatives and the program was briefed to us again. We • were told at this time that if the county did join this program that other Interested department heads could contact • • • them & they would set them up with•the purchase card program. We will do the leg work regarding the application . and any other work that needs to • be done to apply for the program if we getyour approval & Maria's. . . Just a reminder for the new board members this is a purchase card program that is sponsored by NACO and • • does generate some funds for NACO for the use of the card. The card can be assigned to employees who go on • transport trips; training/conferences, and be used for meals, equipment; and other approved purchases. The • ... • Department manager can set up parameters as they see fit (daily limits, expiration dates, 'etc.). This is a whole let • better than a credit Card issued to me & Hall County while the application to obtain it was derived from my • personal information. , • . . . • if you think it would be beneficial US Bank has volunteered to have someone at the next Board meeting to help • • answers any question the Board may have.
