HALL COUNTY BOARD OF CORECTIONS MEETING MARCH 2, 2010 <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Rye made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Corrections meeting. Present on roll call were, Scott Arnold, Bud Jeffries, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Daniel Purdy, Robert Rye, Gary Quandt and Daniel Wagoner. Also present <br /> was Jimmy Vann Assistant Corrections Director, Holly Plejdrup, Administrative Assistant <br /> County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bud Jeffries. <br /> MINUTES — Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the minutes of <br /> the January 5, 2010 meeting. Arnold, Jeffries, Lancaster, Purdy, Quandt, Rye and <br /> Wagoner all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW - Chairman Jeffries read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chairman Jeffries called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> CORRECTIONS DIRECTORS REPORT — Assistant Director Jimmy Vann was <br /> present and stated that Fred sent his apologies that he was not able to be here. <br /> He stated that everything is running smoothly. The numbers are staying at 200 <br /> and they have 41 ice detainees at this time. The video court system is working <br /> now. <br /> BID OPENING PHARMACY SERVICES —The following bids were received: <br /> U Save Pharmacy Grand Island <br /> Skagway Pharmacy Grand Island <br /> Contract Pharmacy Services Maryland <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to refer the bids to the <br /> corrections department and the steering committee to come back in two weeks <br /> with a recommendation. Arnold, Jeffries, Lancaster, Purdy, Quandt, Rye and <br /> Wagoner all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Arnold stated that the RFP was prepared with a list of specific drugs that are <br /> used the most and by controlling those costs it helps to keep the overall cost <br /> down. They also use the generic drugs to help with the cost. The service and <br /> the recordkeeping are also addressed. They will review the bids and come back <br /> in two weeks. Previously the cost of the services was about $13,000.00 to <br /> $14,000.00 per month and now they run $6,000.00. or $7,000.00 per month. The <br /> current supplier informed the department that they wanted a price increase so <br /> that is why it was opened up for bids. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chairman Jeffries called for new or <br /> unfinished business and non one responded. <br />
