HALL COUNTY BOARD OF CORRECTIONS MEETING SEPTEMBER 2, 2008 <br /> The Hall County Board of Corrections met from general session and by published call. <br /> 10:00 a.m. ROLL CALL VOTE - Lancaster made the motion and Rye seconded to go <br /> into the Board of Corrections. Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Bob Humiston, Bud Jeffries, <br /> Pamela Lancaster, Robert Rye and Daniel Wagoner, all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Jeffries read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES OF MEETING — Lancaster made a motion and Eriksen seconded to place on <br /> file the minutes of the July 8, 2008 meeting. Arnold, Eriksen, Humiston, Jeffries, <br /> Lancaster, Rye and Wagoner, all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> CORRECTIONS DIRECTORS REPORT — Assistant Corrections Director Jimmy <br /> Vann was present. He stated that they are settling in at the new facility and are in the <br /> process of cleaning up the old building and getting the surplus read to dispose of. <br /> He reported that three staff members were called to help with the hurricane down south, <br /> so they are down by three. <br /> Chairman Jeffries called for questions. <br /> Wagner questioned if the department was full staffed and Mr. Vann stated that there will <br /> be 2 new hires starting September 8 <br /> The total inmate population is up to 150. <br /> The medical services contract needed to be addressed because of the increased inmate <br /> population and the need for staffing changes. They requested proposals and the <br /> proposal from Dr King was $29,500.00 a month and the other proposal was $3,500.00 <br /> more per month. This will be discussed again at the next meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chairman Jeffries called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> NEW OR UNFINSISHED BUSINESS — Chairman Jeffries called for new or unfinished <br /> business and no one responded. <br /> The meeting was recessed for the quarterly jail tour. <br /> Arnold, Eriksen, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Rye and Wagoner will be attending he <br /> quarterly jail tour. <br /> Returned to regular session. ` O $AL� ,O • <br /> Marla J.
