BOARD OF CORRECTION MEETING SEPTEMBER 5, 2006 <br /> The Hall County Board of Corrections met from general session and by published <br /> call. <br /> 10:00 a.m. Jeffries made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into a board of <br /> corrections meeting. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Members present were Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Dick Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud <br /> Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster and Bob Rye. Also present were Corrections Director Fred <br /> Ruiz and Administrative Assistant Holly Plejdrup. . <br /> CORRECTIONS DIRECTOR'S REPORT — Mr. Ruiz distributed information to the board <br /> members. He noted at in the administrative report lists the dollars that have been <br /> received from the State of Nebraska.They have sent a billing for July and hope to <br /> receive reimbursement funds. He stated that the number of inmates is at 153 which is <br /> high but when there are special enforcement grants going on their number go up but the <br /> Corrections Department, County Attorney and County Court are not included in the grant <br /> reimbursements. <br /> Mr. Ruiz reported that they are in the process of hiring officers. They currently have 4 <br /> vacancies and hope to fill those vacancies and hire 4 more. <br /> The new commissary contract will be signed today so that will relieve one person of <br /> those duties. The new pharmacy contract will start November 1s He stated that this a <br /> busy time with lots of changes. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION PERSONNEL — Lancaster made a motion and Rye seconded to <br /> go into executive session to discuss personnel. This is to protect the reputation of an <br /> individual to not cause needless harm or injury. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, <br /> Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:10 a.m. executive session <br /> 10:30 a.m. Lancaster made a motion and Humiston seconded to go out of executive <br /> session. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Recessed the board of corrections meeting for the quarterly jail tour. <br /> QUARTERLY JAIL TOUR — Members attending the tour will be Eriksen, Humiston, <br /> Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye. <br /> 41 A) (24i... ... <br /> Marla .
