HALL COUNTY BOARD OF CORRECTIONS MEETING NOVEMBER 1, 2005 <br /> The Hall County Board of Corrections met from general session by published call. <br /> 11:15 a.m. Jeffries made a motion and Eriksen seconded to go into a board of <br /> corrections meeting. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Bob <br /> Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Members present were Scott Arnold, Jim Eriksen, Dick Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud <br /> Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster and Bob Rye. Also present was Corrections Director Dave <br /> Arnold. <br /> CORRECTIONS DIRECTOR'S REPORT - Corrections Director Dave Arnold was <br /> present. He stated that he started his 24 year will Hall County on October 18. <br /> Arnold stated that because the meeting is the first of November the numbers are <br /> different. The daily average is 120 per clay but yesterday they were at 135. The <br /> numbers are going up and they are out of bed space and are putting people on the floor. <br /> They booked 741 and the number of charges average 2 per inmate. He included the <br /> arrest report and the work release report from Emmett Arnett. The work release crew <br /> has been spending a lot of time at the park. He also included in the packet a letter form <br /> the State of Nebraska Department of Corrections addressing the jail reimbursement <br /> claims. The same amount of revenue was budgeted as last year and they are out of <br /> funds. He also included a letter from the Department of the Army regarding a <br /> corrections officer that is in the U.S. Army Reserve that was deployed. He also reported <br /> that he hired 4 new employees he has had 2 employees quit and one retired. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING PERSONNAL — Arnold made a motion and Rye <br /> seconded to go into executive session. Arnold, Humiston, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster <br /> and Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Eriksen was absent for the vote. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 11:30 a.m. executive session <br /> 11:35 a.m. Jeffries made a motion and Arnold seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Arnold, Humiston, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted yes and none voted <br /> no. Eriksen was absent for the vote. Motion carried. <br /> The quarterly jail tour was held with Arnold, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye <br /> present on the tour. <br /> Meeting adjourned. <br /> AL Marla Conley all Cou rk 1 <br /> • <br />
