HALL COUNTY BOARD OF CORRECTIONS MEETING JULY 2, 2005 <br /> The Hall County Board of Corrections met from general session and by published call. <br /> 9:50 a.m. Humiston made a motion and Eriksen seconded to go into a board of <br /> corrections meeting. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Bob <br /> Rye all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Members present were Scott Amold, Jim Eriksen, Dick Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud <br /> Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster and Bob Rye. Also present was Corrections Director Dave <br /> Amold. <br /> CORRECTIONS DIRECTORS REPORT — Corrections Director Dave Arnold was <br /> present he stated that the average daily population is 97.1 and they have booked 734 <br /> people in the last two months with 1,437 offenses. He reviewed briefly the statistical <br /> information. He also noted the Administrative Officer report from February. He noted <br /> that they have bill the state $28,875.00 but have not received any reimbursements. He <br /> stated that they have billed the state approximately $150,000.00 that they have not paid <br /> to the county. A brief discussion was held on the cost of inmates. <br /> Dave stated that he included the trustee's report from Emmett Arnett and noted that they <br /> have trimmed and mowed around all of the bridges in Hall County. Hartman questioned <br /> the process that is used to visit an inmate and how quickly it is done. Arnold stated that <br /> when some one signs up to visit an inmate they are allowed to do so right of way. <br /> Dave noted a letter that he received from Nebraska Jail Standards Board informing Hall <br /> County that they are out of compliance with the life safety codes. The air handling <br /> system in the jail has been completed. <br /> He also noted that they have completed 300 house of training are now certified to <br /> conduct training for corrections officers. <br /> 10 :05 a.m. Humiston made a motion and Jeffries seconded to go out of the board of <br /> corrections meeting. Arnold Eriksen, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all voted <br /> yes and none voted no with Hartman absent for the vote.
